MISS SPARKLES (1) flew the lids with a fast early split and went on to clock 31.27 when a 1.3 lengths winner over 545m at Ballarat. Some good form is emerging from her last run. One of the leading chances again. YOUNG RUFUS (8) missed the frame last time when fourth (26.08) at Warragul but prior to that had four placings in a row.
