STAR NOTE (5) had been in great form but was out of the placings last run, finishing fourth (29.91) in a Grade 5 at this track. Generally a safe beginner but buried in the ruck from a squeeze draw last time. Has never been out of the placings from two starts out of this box. Better than the latest effort and deserves another chance. ZIPPING ALITA (1) produced a speedy 29.88 when filling a minor placing over 520m at Wentworth Park last start. Harder here but expected to feature again. PAW NIMBUS (2) showed little early speed at his last couple, the latest finishing fourth (29.90) in a Grade 4/5 at this track. Form at the trip sound including five wins. The form from his last run is stacking up nicely. Has ability and can atone. SMELLY HALLE (8) should bounce back after an unplaced effort here recently.
