ASTON FUMIKO (1) finished third (24.32) two back at Bendigo but out of the placings last time when 8th at Geelong. Is yet to taste defeat at this course and distance. Better than the latest effort and deserves another chance. SPRING BRUMBY (8) comes off an average run last start when fifth at Ballarat over 390m behind Pyrenees Pizazz (22.49) in a Grade 5. Scored at his previous run. Should be in this for a long way. JILL'S FANTASY (4) was below best at her last start when 7th at this track following a second place finish (25.68) there two back. Yet to win out of this box but has been in the placings three times from six starts. Will give the top chances plenty to think about. ASTON BLEND (2) did a good job to finish second last time out over 400m at Mt Gambier (23.72) in a Grade 5, the second top-three finish on the trot.
