Albion Park Race 8 - 2026 Benstud Protostar (Group 1)

Terrific field but a good draw gives promising Victorian filly COMEANDSEE (2) her chance to maintain an unbeaten record. She has led to score easily in each start so far, the latest when coming from this barrier to beat the boys in the Rising Star at Ballarat. Expect her to push forward so she could be hard to catch. HAVTIMEMAJOR NZ (4) comes into this with just a single run under the belt but it was an ultra impressive win by 43m at this circuit and distance. Much more depth here but he has won a trial since and his potential is untapped. DON HUNTER (5) may need a little luck from this draw but he has been showing plenty of ability in Sydney and has been set for this. CARDIGAN JEM (1) has been kept fresh since catching the eye in charging home for second in the Nutrien Final at Wagga. He is better served by the ace draw. IDEAL FRANKIE (6) draws wide and faces her biggest test but has created a huge impression by spanking her rivals in her three Victorian starts to date.
