ROSES ARE BEST (3) resumes from a spell of three months after closing off last campaign in good form, the last run being a solid second at Newcastle. Readied with two trial placings at Wagga and a nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. Likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. ELLAVA PACER (7) didn't quite perform to market expectations when fifth last start at Kilmore but did have to work when racing parked. Draws for a trail and if she gets the gaps could pose a serious challenge. ROLL THE ACES (8) is improving with racing this time in and must be considered after he finished third at Wagga last start. HARTNETT (1) should get his chance from the ace draw.
