MCGEE (8) was okay last time over 1720m at Melton, finishing 40 metres away from the winner in eighth. Good enough to put himself in the winners' stall. IS THAT A BID (12) has been very good at both appearances this prep. Scored first up at this track then finished a neck from the winner in second over 2050m at Port Pirie at the latest run two-and-a-half weeks ago. Taking on a better field but he is capable of running another bold race. MEADOW VALLEY STAR (11) must be considered after he finished runner-up over 2580m at Mt Gambier a week ago. MADAME KELLY (3) did a good job to finish in the minor placings two runs back then her luck changed last time when she broke and finished a long way back in eighth over 2610m at Kapunda. Must get things right but if she does a big run is on the cards.
