RUMBLE STRIP NZ (5) made a nice return at his latest appearance two weeks ago, racing parked but boxing on and finishing 3.5 metres away in third at this track. Draws wider but has won two of three previous third-up attempts so should be improved. SPITFIRE (2) has come from wider barriers and finished midfield in all three runs so far this campaign but there has been merit in each of those efforts, the first two in Group races and the latest when he raced three wide without cover but boxed on. Race fit and is better by this draw. ULTIMATE MIKI (8) was held up in the 4YO Classic two back before a solid fourth last time. Draws wide but should be hitting his peak now. SEBASTIAN JAMES (6) is worth some thought based on his second from a wider barrier here two runs ago.
