POPPY POPSTAR (6) had been about the mark in recent runs before the latest appearance when she scored by 14 metres over 1650m at Bendigo. Tackles a similar assignment and she can make it two on the trot. CHAMPAGNES (4) filled a minor placing two starts ago at Charlton but didn't measure up at her latest appearance over 2200m at Ballarat, beaten 18 metres into seventh after being close to the pace throughout. Her last run should be overlooked. Good enough to take out a race like this. BAARLINEE (7) is in the mix following a fourth at her most recent appearance over 2200m at Ballarat. RASENGAN (8) disappointed last time when eighth over 2150m at Bendigo. Can do a lot better so worth considering.
