KYVALLEY MAVEN (6) did some work and chased along the sprint lane to be beaten just over a metre by race rival QUIRKY CHARACTER last week but beat that trotter easily two back, cruising home by close to 11m at this circuit. Draws wide but is good enough to win with even luck. QUIRKY CHARACTER (8) added to a string of top-two finishes when he led to win last week. Came from this barrier when second to KYVALLEY MAVEN two back but won three in a row prior to that and has built a strong record here. MEGA SPUR (1) has come from wider in both starts since a spell so should enjoy the ace draw tonight and has won third-up before so could be close to peak fitness. KEAYANG GUCCI (2) deserves respect having come from this barrier to place in a Group 3 for the mares here last week.
