SOHO DARKNSTORMY (5) led from one spot wider and fought on well to be beaten just over a metre into second at this circuit and distance last time out. The only time he has missed the top-two this time in was when he tackled Group 3 company. Looks well placed. HUGO ROCKS (3) drew a wide gate last start so was far from disgraced when midfield. Came from this barrier when he placed three back at Bendigo. Good enough to make his presence felt. IN AN IDEAL WORLD (2) came from the back row to be beaten 2.7m into fourth when resuming here last week. Draws well and should strip fitter so deserves consideration. SON OF MAC NZ (8) has never missed a place in four third-up attempts including two wins and owns strong statistics at this circuit and distance so can show more.
