Good clash between a couple of smart ones. WICKED CONFESSION (1) comes through the Vicbred 4M Super Series where she placed behind top mare The Art Of Success in both rounds, beaten less than 5m into third in the final. Had gone into that off back-to-back wins, both from wider barriers than this. Should get every chance from the ace draw. CIGANO (6) had a second row draw when he resumed against some strong opposition in a Vicbred heat. Draws wide but his strike rate when second-up is 60 per cent and he has won seven off 11 attempts here. Big danger. ALWAYS BE BLAKEY (4) found form and scored here two runs back then did a fine job to finish second despite breaking last start at Terang. Has had a month off but was kept ticking over with a trial. WORDS NZ (3) hasn't been far away since winning here in August and draws better than last week.
