Classy filly SPARKLING SEA (2) suffered a surprise defeat when midfield as a hot favourite in the Gold Bracelet Final at Bathurst last time but she had won her other three starts this time in. Came from close to the outside to win the Raith Memorial last month, taking her record at this circuit and distance to four from four. She can atone aided by the low draw. PERFECTDELIGHT (3) was a luckless fourth in a Gold Bracelet heat two back when she was severely checked and broke but showed what she is capable of with a 28m demolition in a consolation of that series. Group 1 placed here last season and draws well so it wouldn't surprise to see her challenge. FAKE FRIENDS (7) draws widest but came from this barrier for a winning start for the Jason Grimson yard last time, scoring by 4m at this circuit and distance. YIRRADIVA (4) deserves respect having come from the back row to beat SPARKLING SEA home when fourth in the Gold Bracelet final.
