LEXUS LOU (9) comes through the Carousel series where he placed in a heat before weakening out of the final. Went into that series off a win at this venue, which was the last time he raced over the mile. Good enough to overcome the wide draw. GISSELLE (1) drew widest and broke so did well to finish only 2.5 metres off the winner last week. That gave her a win and two placings from her last four attempts at this circuit and distance and she is much better served the ace draw. BLISSES BEST (2) draw well and must be respected after coming from out wide and racing deep but fighting well for a last-start win by 1.7 metres at this circuit and distance. TITIWHA (8) may need a touch of luck but there was merit in his effort for second at Wagga last time out.
