BARRYS BROTHER (5) finished second last start over 1980m at Tamworth, beaten 6 metres, after a good win at this track the run prior. Not disgraced last time. Good enough to take out a race like this. BOULDERS BEACH (9) was in the money at Penrith two runs ago before finishing tenth at his latest appearance over 1609m at Menangle, beaten 35 metres. Won't spend a penny from this draw but luck may play a role on the bell lap. This doesn't look as hard so he is sure to prove tough to beat. THE NINJA (1) broke last start but still managed to fill a minor placing over 1609m at Tamworth, finishing 1.3 metres from the winner. That was a pleasing progression after missing the placings the run before. Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. Has the talent to make his presence felt. BIRDY GAL (2) disappointed last time when seventh over 1609m at Menangle. Can do a lot better so worth considering.
