SPEARHEAD (4) has the hoof on the till having filled a minor placing at Newcastle two runs ago before finishing second at his latest appearance at Bathurst. Draws lower than in both of those outings and will be peaking now so can break through. ROCKIN SWEET (9) came from a similar draw to win at this circuit and distance four back and looks close to another success after missing narrowly in his last two outings. CENTREFIRE (10) didn't do a bad job when sixth at Bathurst last time out. Draws on the second line but this is the lowest-graded race he has tackled for some time. FIFTY THREE STARS (8) is in the mix following a solid fifth at his most recent appearance at Bathurst.
