HARLEEQUIN (5) enjoyed the drop in grade from the city when she came from the back row and got home by a narrow margin at this venue at her latest appearance. Suited at this shorter distance having won five of her nine attempts at it here and she'll be at peak fitness now. RED SAPPHIRE (7) drew wider on this row and didn't have much go his way when midfield last week. His other two city efforts this time in had merit and he strikes at 50 per cent at this circuit and distance. Race fit now and draws for a trail so is a big chance if he gets the gaps. DOUGS FLAME (9) faded out last start but was racing consistently at Menangle prior and owns a good strike rate here. MR TEDDY NZ (3) was checked and broke last week but draws to be competitive having come from a similar barrier for second in the city last month.
