ULTIMATUM (3) produced another strong performance last time when he battled on bravely to finish second over 2000m at Patterson Park. He has been trying to win a race for some time, and he gets another chance in a modest field to get that overdue success. MAJOR LI (1) finished fifth last time out, beaten 9 metres, in a far better performance at Patterson Park over 2000m. Sure to enjoy an economical run from this draw. Meets a comparable field, so he is capable of taking this out. WHATSUPMAN (5) is looming as a real threat after a better effort last start, finishing third at Patterson Park over 2000m. If he keeps a smooth gait all the way this time, he is good enough to win this. THE TOWN OF LIGHT (7) is the best of the rest after finishing a gritty fourth over 2000m at Patterson Park last time out. Stick with him.
