MACH ROUGE (1) impressed when successful at Young two runs ago then settling back and failed to finish off well enough at his latest appearance over 1740m at Riverina Paceway, beaten 30 metres into seventh. Has the benefit of a good draw. This is a nice drop in grade so he is in the right race to return to form. KING KULAFU (7) resumes. Last appeared when a modest ninth over 2147m at Leeton 22 months ago. IRK MCGLURK (8) must be included on the back of some solid recent form, most recently when third at Parkes over 1660m.
