CALADAN (2) gets the nod first-up after a comfortable Albany trial and brings the right prior form for this BM58+. He was beaten a long neck in a BM64 at Murray Bridge before a plain BM70 tenth, but this shapes as a much easier assignment. Well placed and she can make an impression in his debut campaign. FANTAXTIC (1) is race fit and better suited back from Saturday company after finishing eighth at Ascot in NMW1Y grade. His start prior was better than it reads after racing wide as favourite, and the 3kg claim helps a proven 1100m profile. SHOOTING SPIRIT (4) resumes with a plain recent record to overcome, yet he has enough past 1100m grounding to be considered for the minor money if returning sharper. DIABLO LAD (6) has the more reliable recent substance of the other fresh runners, last seen beaten two and a half lengths in 1MW company at Belmont after a third at this venue on heavy ground. MY LOVELY PET (7) won't be far away first-up.
