ASTARI (2) raced wide and got the job done in this grade at Echuca in his penultimate start, and then loomed large wide at Ballarat last time out before peaking on his effort, finishing sixth. He drops back again into BM56 company, and is expected to bounce straight back into the money. MIDNIGHT DEVIL (3) has not won for some time, but his last couple of starts have been near enough. He is backing up 7-days after a last start poly track third, and with the right run, he is a top 4 chance again. BLISS BOMB (5) has been freshened up since finding 1200m a tad too far at Ballarat-synthetic 6 weeks ago. She has won a jump-out since then, and with the addition of winkers for the first time, she can't be taken lightly. Each way. MR TICKLES (1) has only battled in a couple of tougher recent assignments, and he drops right down in class for this, and with a 3kg claim to offset his weight rise, a form reversal is on the cards.
