Ballarat Race 3 - Pipe Pro Directional Drilling Mdn Plate
Keen to give LONSTAR (5) another chance here. Only start to date was in a much tougher race than this and he had obvious issues there, failing to finish. The jumpouts this time in suggest he's an improved product this time around and he should get his chance from the draw. OSTROM (11) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1000m at Sale, beaten 4.5 lengths into sixth. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. STERNIN (14) was well in commission last start over 1100m at Kerang when third, beaten 3 lengths. Will find this assignment a little tougher but a bold showing is expected. BOLD SUITOR (1) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1000m at Mornington, beaten 3.5 lengths. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts. VILLA CAPITALISTA (16) finished fifth at both runs of the debut prep, when in the market, but had excuses both times and has been trialling well.
