Four start maiden bursting to win and gets chance. SHOTARO (9) is heading in the right direction and looks a leading player. Ran on well for a close-up seventh on debut then placed over a mile at Pakenham when raced on pace. Has upside and the extra trip a plus. ROYAL OPTIMISM (7) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest at Yarra Valley over 1968m. Blinkers are added. PRINCESS PAINTON (12) is another closing in on a win after two consecutive minor placings, the latest when second over 1887m at Kyneton. Strong winning chance. TRYST AND DOUBT (10) placed on debut then was fifth in tougher and has upside.
