PRIVATE MAX (2) was smashed from $3.30 into $2.40 first-up at Lismore recently but left his run too late and finished second in soft ground over today's trip. Lightly raced three-year-old who did fail on a heavy last prep but it was at the end of the campaign. Looks to have a bit on this field. RAISING SUSPICION (4) didn't go a yard on the Gold Coast poly track when resuming 22 days ago. Improved sharply second-up last prep over this distance at Ipswich so deserves another chance. Locally trained mare LIMBAZI (1) debuts on the back of a recent Grafton trial win. Any positive moves in betting should be respected. Big gap to the next chance VIOLACEOUS (9) who resumes. Will probably be better for the run but keep an eye on the betting. DIVINE CODE (8) debuts for the Munce yard. Trial form not inspiring but again the market should tell the tale.
