GIN TWIST (6) narrowly on top. She was a very sharp winner at Flemington over 1000m two back in the Festival Stakes, then was just found wanting on wet ground there last time to 1200m. Fancy she'll be better for that run and around a bend can see her hard to run down. DRUMFIRE (2) comes down from Sydney for the Waterhouse & Bott yard having won well on debut, bumping into a nice winner at Randwick Kensington last time. Have to respect the stable bringing him down and Zahra gets a nice trail from barrier two. BUGGSY (1) won nicely on debut at Sandown Hillside as favourite. Straight to 1200m here but he should handle it. OAK LIGHTNING (4) might be the pick of the newcomers.
