DIRTY LOOK (13) won her maiden nicely two back at Sandown Hillside and backed it up with an encouraging second to a talented filly in Gold Coast Belle last time when getting back to last and running on strongly. That horse is well fancied against the older horses later, expecting the form to stand up. HOT SAND (4) might be a bit of value. His fresh run was good at 1200m, then he ran solid overall time to win the Ballarat heat of this series. Slightly unfashionable trainer/jockey combination but he looks a big price. SANTANA (3) started favourite against TEN WARRIORS (1) at Caulfield Heath when they met, TEN WARRIORS finally breaking through off a quieter ride. SANTANA has since won well enough as favourite and can go on with it. CAVALRY SCOUT (10) was just behind SANTANA last time and can push forward from out wide.
