Cheltenham Race 2 - Singer Arkle Challenge Trophy Novices' Chase (Grade 1) (Gbb Race)

Last year's G1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle hero KOPEK DES BORDES (3) is selected to come out on top in this highly-anticipated duel with LULAMBA (4). The former has made just one steeplechase start due to multiple setbacks but could not have been more impressive when scoring by 13L over 3400m at Navan. The latter is a more exposed quantity having prevailed by 6L tackling the G2 Game Spirit Chase at Newbury on latest appearance. KARGESE (7) warrants serious consideration in view of a hard-fought second when defeated a neck in the G1 Irish Arkle attempting 3400m at Leopardstown. STEEL ALLY (6) cannot be discounted despite the marked rise in class following a success in the 3250m G2 Kingmaker Novices' Chase at Warwick.
