SARMAT (5) came with a mighty run from next to last on the bend to get up for third on debut last start over 1181m at Grafton. Can settle closer from a much better draw today. Beautifully placed over this longer trip and looks a big chance to open the account. BURN BOBBY BURN (1) missed the kick and did nothing when resuming over this distance at Tamworth last time out, the first run since switching to the Todd Payne yard. Has never fired when fresh in the past to put it in perspective. Would prefer to see him out to a mile now but can still improve a lot on that first-up effort. MELATEN (3) blew the start the recovered to finish a respectable fifth over 1350m at Ipswich seven weeks ago. Has switched stables and might be worth monitoring for market confidence. STAINLESS STEEL (2) is an 18-start maiden who has struggled of late but might appreciate the step up to seven furlongs. LA REGINA (9) ran a better race last start when lining up for just the third time. One to consider.
