NORMA STARS (7) gets the nod despite the plain 11th behind Delzee at Ascot, because this is easier than Saturday company, she is third-up and the quick back-up is marked in her favour. Her recent figures are not flattering, but the NMW1Y form is stronger than most of this and she has enough 1400m background to rebound. SIDE SHOW (2) is the obvious danger after beating Vancouver Storm in a Class 3 at Northam, with the only reservation being that he was unwanted in betting and had been well held the run prior. MAVIS MYRTLE (6) has been out of form, yet drops out of Class 3 and Open company and her 1400m record gives her a place profile. SUPER SAIYAN (5) was safely held first-up in a BM44+ at York, but weight relief, a returning winning rider and past 1400m success give him a credible minor hope. TEABISCUIT (3) was better last start and can improve again out in trip.
