MANHATTAN THUNDER (6) has the strongest recent platform after winning a BM60 at Tara by just under two lengths, having also run second in BM60 grade at Taroom the start prior. He is hard fit, gets weight relief from that latest win and has enough exposed 1000m form to justify top billing despite stepping into a stronger race. I'M LUCKY TWO (7) is the danger with first-time blinkers, a useful 1000m record and a lighter impost after being too far back at Warwick. SEA COMMITS (5) has not been winning, but she is a genuine track-and-trip performer and the return to 1000m is a positive after recent runs over longer trips. SPEEDY ONE (1) drops out of BM70 company, has a strong distance record and gets the 2kg claim, so his Toowoomba fourth gives him enough substance to press for a placing. BASIL'S BOW (4) freshened since two plain 1400m runs. Can improve.
