DASHING HOPE (12) appeals as the one to beat after two solid BM58 efforts, the latest a third at Sunshine Coast when held up at the 200m before getting into the money at long odds. She has placed five times at around 1000m and has a strong record at this track, so the BM55 set-up gives her a clear winning platform. BOOYA BOY (4) was a beaten favourite first-up at Gold Coast but had excuses after being held up and interfered with, and his 1000m record keeps him right in calculations. ALMOND GOLD (6) brings winning form after beating Troy Boy in a Warwick Mdn, and while he must now transfer that to 1000m in BM55 company, the first-up win gives him momentum. MR EVANS (2) has decent records both here and at the distance.
