CASTILLIAN (1) grows a leg for rider Jones who has two wins and three placings from six steers and will be high on confidence following that last-start dominant victory at the Gold Coast. Has only missed a quinella spot once in five spins over this course and distance and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. Former Sydney galloper ZONDEE (5) has been in the mix in both runs since joining the new stable and looks to be working up to another win. Sure to run well. The consistent THINKHARDANDFAST (9) resumes here but is yet to miss a place in three first-up attempts and has revved up for this with two recent trial hit-outs. Can run a race while fresh.
