Doomben Race 1 - The Gibson Hcp
TENGUN TOMMY (1) met with solid support and was most impressive last start, overcoming a poor getaway to charge home and score over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast. Lines up for the hat trick and over an extra 200m today it looks very achievable. MY GIRL MARLEY (11) has raced twice and gone close on each occasion, most recently beaten a whisker over 1100m at Ipswich. Takes on some better types this time but she is progressive and well in at the weights. CASCADING (12) gave away at least five lengths when they straightened but cut the margin to just over two when resuming in the same race as TENGUN TOMMY over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast recently. Sure to prove hard to hold out over a bit more ground. HIDDEN WHISPER (8) last appeared when successful on debut over 1110m here in April. Cannot be underestimated. JUNGLE RHYTHM (4) returned impressively at Rockhampton last start although this is a different kettle of fish. Each-way.
