CHERRY BOMSHELL (2) was allowed to bowl along in front last start and she cleared right away from her rivals over this course and distance. Meets a deeper field this time but her rating on that occasion tells us she us up to a race of this quality. The query runner is Gollan's debutante NIGHT MARKET (9) who trialled at Doomben on 10 February and bolted in. Nicely drawn and is a serious threat if she can bring that performance level to race day. ESPERANZA (1) snagged back to last in a small field then lengthened impressively at the end of 1110m to win on debut at Doomben three weeks ago. Coming back to 1000m is the worry although the longer run home here is a plus. SUMMER SENSATION (4) settled back with ESPERANZA and tried to go with her at Doomben but wound up 1.5 lengths adrift. Exotics only from a nasty draw. ELUSIVE CAPITAL (3) showed ability in the maiden campaign and is in the mix first-up from a brief spell.
