Flemington Race 8 - Crown Amanda Elliott (L)
Keen to see the unbeaten RANARSSON (5) step out in stakes grade off two dominant wins to start his career. He was far too good in fast time over 1200m on debut then backed it up with interest over this trip last time with big gaps in behind. Different scenario from Cranbourne to Flemington but gets in on the minimum and looks every bit a Group class colt. BARRACKS (2) beat a subsequent dominant maiden winner first up in Sydney then was the run of the race in the G3 Blue Sapphire, close to a brutal speed and held up at a key stage, beaten a nose. Not sure that was the strongest G3 but 1400m looks suitable and he should run well. MR NATURAL (13) has plenty of x-factor, a huge maiden winner fresh then getting a mile back at Geelong. Up in trip and drawn better, he can finish hard. HIGH FALLS (6) was dominant winning at Warrnambool and will be hard to run down if here (also in on Saturday). HARRY LIME (9) is off a short break, he was ridden cold here last time, expect positive tactics now.
