SHEDRIVESABENTLEY (6) had excuses last time at the Sunshine Coast, where she chased gamely into sixth after a bit of interference in the straight, that following a Gold Coast CL1 win over 1800m. McColm sticks and she finds a suitable race to play a major role. LORD PROTECTOR (7) was costly as favourite at Grafton but was slow away, covered ground but kept finding in the lane to finish fourth. If he can settle closer this time he will prove hard to hold out. DECARBONISE (11) appeals third-up with a sharp weight drop after a CL3 fourth at the Gold Coast. Already boasts a win over this track and trip, so deserves more respect. QUALITY MISS (12) has to rebound from a plain Sunshine Coast run, but her Ipswich second two back keep her in the winning mix.
