ELTON JOHN (9) was solid when third over 1000m at this track two starts back before a disappointing ninth over 1300m. He has been freshened up and is worth another chance to bounce back. VEEP (4) resumes after 6 months. He finished fourth over 1200m here in his last run and previously kicked off a preparation with a placing over 1000m at this track. Nicely placed and expected to run well fresh. BRYAN DA LAGOA (10) returns from a 10-week break, having finished eighth over 700m at Cristal when first-up last prep.
