Gold Coast Race 5 - Isle Of Capri Wine & Beer Open Handicap

TALTARNI FIELDS (3) put in a rare bad one two back then made amends with a tough win over 1110m at Doomben three weeks ago. Drops 3kgs to move into open company which looks a lovely weight for a horse with his record. Effective at this trip and can win again. FLEETWOOD (2) stalked the pace along with TALTARNI FIELDS at Doomben last start but didn't go home quite as well, finishing just 0.4 lengths off today's rival. Very fit sprinter who will go back from the wide gate over this sharper trip but is capable of some big final splits. KING YOSHI (5) stalked the leader then let down impressively to easily take care of open class sprinters over this trip at the Sunshine Coast recently. Meets a better field today but his 1000m credentials are hard to fault. POWER OF THE BRAVE (8) and WANDA ROX (1) quinellaed a 1000m race at Eagle Farm four weeks ago, the latter getting home by 0.6 lengths. Both horses are racing in great heart and excel at this trip. Not a lot will separate them again.
