CHIEF IN CHARGE (10) made it three wins in a row when he drew away late to get the prize over 1350m at Doomben three weeks ago. Taking on a deeper race this time but his ratings continue to rise so this is not out of reach. BATTLEFIELD (4) made it four top three finishes from as many runs this prep when he stormed home late to beat all but HATCHET last time out over 1200m at Eagle Farm. Tipping the extra 200m can turn things his way this afternoon. Veteran HATCHET (2) made it three on the trot when he was too strong for BATTLEFIELD when they clashed at the Farm. Has only won one from ten at this trip which is the small knock, but he's going too well to ignore. ANEMACORE (3) has been freshened up since accounting for the highly regarded Pereille in the 1400m Sunshine Coast Cup at listed level seven weeks ago. Classy and versatile galloper who is always a threat in this sort of race. JOHN RAMBO (11) hasn't won for a while and is up in class today, but his last run was impressive.
