Gold Coast Race 4 - Turners Engineering (Bm65)
SAVAII (3) was scratched from Eagle Farm on Wednesday to be kept for this. Won three from three in the maiden prep but has come back to earth this time in work. Better effort last start when a close fourth over this distance at Goulburn. Nicely drawn and is in the right race to return to winning form. CHAYSE 'N' BODHI (7) stormed home to just arrive in time in a 1650m maiden at Doomben last time out. Given a freshen up since that success and comes back in trip. One to watch for over the concluding stages. THE BEAR (1) returned to form recently when beaten just over a length over 1200m at Doomben. Drops in grade although he goes up sharply in the weights. Definite contender. SILVER SPOON (5) led all the way for a comfortable maiden win over 1200m at Eagle Farm last start. Finally putting it all together and another win is not out of reach. CONTINGENCY (2) returns from a six-month spell for a second campaign. Impressive when last in work and should be ready to run well.
