Gold Coast Race 3 - Coffs Harbour Cup August 7th Mdn Plate
BAY OF THE SOUTH (2) has shown plenty of promise and was less than a length from the winner when finishing fourth on resumption at Beaudesert after attracting solid market support. She strips fitter for that effort, still has upside, and looks well placed to break through. CARPET RIDE (4) continued her consistent form with a strong runner-up finish on a rain-affected track at the Sunshine Coast last start. A repeat of that performance would see her fighting out the finish once again. ARCTIC WHISPER (1) resumed with an encouraging third at this track a fortnight ago, and she is expected to take significant improvement from that outing. From the inside draw, she should enjoy every chance, and she can figure in the top 3 again. SECRET ROSE (11) has an excellent second-up record and is capable of improving sharply after a sound first-up fourth here. YATTAZOU (13) finished off strongly when only 1.5 lengths from the winner last time out, and she is set to go one better in this.
