BOSS BOY (1) has had 10 goes, but none of the races he's contested to this point have been as winnable as the one he finds himself in here. Started $2.90 fav in a much stronger race than this last time and not disgraced when beaten 2-1/2 lengths. Peak fitness now after three runs back and clearly the testing material. FRENCH PALACE (4) ran a much better race at her second outing last start when she worked home well to finish third over 1400m at Mildura. Nicely placed to find winning ways. FRANK WHISPER (7) finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1600m at Bairnsdale, an improvement on his eighth on debut at Sale the run before. Nicely placed to break the maiden status. Bit of the gap to the rest. SPECKY BOY (2) might be ready to run an improved now he's deep into the prep and has the inside alley. Debutant WINTER ARC (8) hasn't set the world on fire at the jumpouts but won't need to be a superstar to sneak into the placings.
