Hawkesbury Race 2 - Ladies Day 7 November Provincial Mdn Plate
ALPHA ZETA (3) returns after six months in the paddock. Gripped on strongly at debut when third over this track and trip last March, then failed to handle the rise in grade with a fading sixth over 1100m at Rosehill. Wasn't knocked about when fifth in a recent 900m trial at Rosehill. Can get the better of these in a fairly even contest. EXCELS (5) resumed from a lengthy break for the new yard with a disappointing sixth over 900m at Scone as the dominant fav last July. Pulled up with a slow recovery rate on that occasion and the tongue-tie goes on for this. Leading player after the slick trial win. DARN SAGA (7) resumes. Wasn't sure what it was all about on debut with a battling sixth over 1200m at Wyong last June. Wasn't knocked about in his two trials and worth thought. EDBERG (8) three-year-old Anders gelding from Fact Or Fable on debut for the Kris Lees yard. Had a stack of trials in readiness for this and stays in the calculations
