PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL (12) heavily supported on debut as the ($1.60 fav) with a slick 3 len victory over 1100m at Scone on a rain affected track. Can take the next step in this grade and gets his chance with Lloyd aboard. ST JOHANN (4) started a dominant fav on debut and ran accordingly with a comfortable Maiden win over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Keep safe in the small field from the awkward gate. DRAGON BLOOD (11) bounced off his good debut second, with a fighting on pace win over 1200m at Wyong in a Super Maiden. Don't dismiss.
