FORGOTTEN SPIRIT (11) returned from a 19-week spell in outstanding fashion last start, caught right on the line in an open three-year-old race over 1000m at Eagle Farm three weeks ago. Down in grade and is drawn to enjoy a perfect run. The small niggle is the final 100m - hold your breath if you back her. BUCKEYE (1) started at $2.25 and had every chance in transit but didn't find the line as hoped when resuming over this distance at the Gold Coast last time out. Needs luck from a sticky gate but he strips fitter and should run a much bolder race. IRANSOFAR (16) led for the judge and pulled out all stops to just get home in a maiden over this distance at Eagle Farm recently. Progressive filly who can take this next step. STARLIGHTNING (5) scored on debut at the Gold Coast then lacked the turn of foot required when unplaced over 1000m at the Sunny Coast last start. Deserves another chance over the extra 200m today. STARVECCHIO (12) can improve second-up after a long break.
