Not a strong maiden to kick things off. REGAL (9) looks the stand-out after a bright debut at Hawkesbury last start, racing on the pace then battling on gamely once clear for a close fourth. Should appreciate a bit less pressure over the extra 200m today. Looks her race to lose. LET'S BE HONEST (3) returns for a third campaign off a five-month spell. Beaten just 1.4 lengths first-up last prep over 1300m at Newcastle then lost her way a bit. In the mix with a similar return this afternoon. The speedy LOREAL BELLE (4) showed a lot more resistance last start, leading for home then only succumbing late in a 1400m maiden here. Freshened up to come back to 1200m. Might take some catching. Watching betting around DANE MALVINA (7) on debut for a yard having a good run.
