ERAJA (2) raced once in the maiden preparation when well supported but could only manage sixth at Sunshine Coast over 1000m back on August 17. Where there's smoke there's fire and is certainly worth following up. COLUMBIA REEF (7) is a gelding by Jukebox out of Al Afraah making his first appearance. In the placings at the most recent trial under today's rider Paul Hamblin. Won't need to be a superstar to be competitive against this lot. ZOODOO (5) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Jack Bruce barn. Hasn't raced since finishing fifth at Nowra five-and-a-half months ago. Not seen at the trials but is in a nice race and expected to be in the finish. CHIDGEY (1) was prominent at the turn and finished second last time over 1100m at Toowoomba when resuming from a spell, beaten 6 lengths. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race.
