Kyneton Race 2 - Carlton Draught Mdn Plate
LOLLIE'S GALORE (4) is a brother to not only Butterscotch, who is in the first race, but also a half G1 performers Werther and Toffee Tongue who will not only be better for the debut outing, but also the extra distance here if the way he hit the line on debut is any indication. EGYPTIAN THORN (2) is also having a second career start here and while he went around a big quote on debut he savaged the line to only go down narrowly and the third horse won at Ballarat on Tuesday. Draws ideally to go one better. YAUSON (5) is the first of a couple of first starters from top stables who have suggested they need this sort of trip to be a factor on debut and he comes right into it from the inside alley. GLOWSHIFT (3) is a European 3YO, so he's still got maturing to do, but is well-bred and has done enough at the jumpouts to suggest there are wins in store. BRIGHTLY DANCE (12) disappointed on debut but started in the market off some nice trials and blinkers might spark an improved run.
