COLT FORTY FIVE (3) has been freshened up since failing to cope with a testing heavy track at Warrnambool a couple of months ago. He resumes without any public hitouts but will slide back into a very winnable race. If ready, he is the one to beat. HEADSTOCK (5) never fired last start but was eased down in the run to the line and not knocked around. He has been given the all-clear since then, drops in class, and can make amends. Each-way. MANCHEGO (6) was an easy last-start winner in similar company a month ago at Echuca, and has been nominated everywhere, so if he lines up here, he should be hard to beat again. RYANMAN (2) fought on well for fourth when needing the run fresh up at Kilmore last week. He cops a tricky gate but can figure in the top 4.
