Ladbrokes Geelong Race 1 - Ladbrokes Mdn Plate
CABRIOLE (4) has been an acceptor and scratched more than once of late, so the prep might not have been straightforward, but there's been a lot to like about how he's been going about his work at the jumpouts since being gelded. Was sent out odds-on in town at his only start last prep, which followed another third placing when he got within two lengths of Autumn Boy. That's good form for this. MISS DECEIVER (7) resumed in a handy maiden at Pakenham, when beaten just under a length, and with that run under the belt and the slight step up in trip here she can give this a shake. FLYING CAPITAL (1) was scratched from what looked a suitable race last weekend and has been trialling like a horse who is set for a big debut. SILVER CAPITAL (3) was good when well-backed first-up then weakened last time when up in trip, so might be better suited this distance. I WILL SHINE (2) needs to improve on three runs to date, but recent trials hint at a better showing.
