Launceston Race 6 - Ladbrokes Owners Promotion Plate (C1)

WOLF JUNIOR (4) placed in the Launceston Guineas and then did a good job from back of the field beaten 2.6L in the Tasmanian Derby. Will have to do it the hard way, but tumbles in grade and should be much too strong. Of the rest, SOUTH GEORGIA (9) flopped at Hobart two back, but her form around that is solid. Finished off well over 1400m in an Open 34 last time suggesting she'll go better over the extra ground this time around. CARNOTAURUS (5) broke through winning a CL1 this grade/distance and it was deserved. Races forward but has an outside gate to contend with this evening. Has to go in regardless. BRIGHT NIGHT (11) has been racing at Stakes level over middle distances against her own sex. Hasn't got warm in those, but in a CL1 may see the journey out well enough to find a place.
